About Me

I've always found that mathematics has been my favorite subject in school. I can remember in fifth grade when my teacher left the room, I got up and went around the room taking notes on his various geometry area posters such as the area of a circle being half of pi times the radius squared. In ninth grade I saw my older brother who was in college doing homework that had weird elongated S-like symbols and wanted to know what they meant. As a result I started to learn calculus in my own time, and eventually came to know that weird looking S as an integral (or antiderivative). Since then, I've taken a college level trigonometry class and recieved the highest possible score on the AP Calculus AB and AP Calculus BC exams. Realizing my passion for mathematics, I partnered with Jonah Pulliam to create Pulliam-Bivens Tutoring, which aims to help students grow their mathematical abilities and ensure they score well on math-focused tests. Over the summer, I programmed the entire website for Jonah and I's tutoring services so that booking sessions with us could be as seamless as possible.

More recently, I have scored a nearly perfect 35 of 36 on my mathematics portion of the ACT, and even taught a lesson in my AP Calculus class for my teacher on a day he knew he wouldn't be able to be present.

About Me

Throughout all of my years in school, math has always been my favorite subject. In the third grade, I memorized the first 50 digits of the irrational number Pi and won the recitation contest at school. Then, in middle school I quickly completed the entire years worth of assignments in two months in sixth grade and began to help other students in my class that needed it. Then I took my first high school class, algebra 1, in seventh grade to get ahead in my schooling. My biggest accomplishment as a student has been my perfect scores on the standardized PSAT and ACT exams, with a perfect 36 on the math section of the exam. I can not wait to help others improve their math skills and scores in their math classes or exams.
